In a January 2025 post, I was arguing that Donald Trump would never give up the Presidency. I wrote:

He is establishing his power, validating his supporters, and taking over as much as he can without another Jan 6 style insurrection. When the planned-for crisis comes, and it will come because it is an essential part of the Plan. When the crisis comes, he’ll have everything in place needed to take over. He’ll be able to take over because he will have made sure there is no-one else who can. Or maybe even because he’s actually needed to prevent a worse outcome.

And now he’ll have Steven Miller helping with the takeover. (Watch out for that Miller guy.)

In my opinion, Trump (and/or his associates like Miller) are still planning to take over the United States government. It’s a bit soon, but events like those in Minneapolis are accelerating the timeline.

There is no way that Trump is going to give up power. He has emaciated the parts of the old infrastructure that might have a chance to stop him. (e.g., the FBI.) ICE provides him with the manpower needed. It’s just about all set.

Greenland may well provide an opportunity for Trump, Miller, and company to create the “crisis”. He has already started with new tariffs on NATO members who express opposition to his taking over the island.  When Trump moves fully on Greenland, NATO will likely be destroyed, die in confusion, or just be made ineffective. It will also be the move Trump can do to cement ties between Putin, Russia, and the U.S. (Trump is really pro-Russia and pro-Putin.) Russia will be made great again. So Trump is very likely to make a move on the island. The new tariffs are a start, but troops and military action are no doubt his preferred way to do it.

America has lots of problems, but Trump is the worst. And it is getting worse by the day. He has a large body and a small mind, and he can’t escape either one.  With the nationwide support he had after his second election, he might actually have made America great again. Or at least greater. Or at least he might have tried. But he’s not interested in a truly great America, or capable even of imagining a legacy of greatness. No, he goes for the small stuff – like retribution (suing his political enemies), tariffs (he doesn’t understand or admit, that we pay), and mean cracks to female reporters. He’s always ready for a petty fight. Or a big fight —  like taking Greenland. Constructive ideas are swamped by meanness and pettiness.

He confuses bigness with greatness. He confuses bigness (and gold) with beautiful. It’s tragic, really. A lost opportunity.

Dismantling the FBI is a critical part of the Plan, an essential part of what makes the Plan so obvious. Autocracies cannot tolerate effective, independent law enforcement; an effective FBI had to go – and it did.

All this, I know, sounds like another conspiracy theory, and it is. But just because it’s a conspiracy theory doesn’t mean there isn’t a real conspiracy. It’s real because there is no other explanation for what he is doing. That is, destroying the United States of America.

Well, one alternative theory is that Trump is just stupid. A lot of what he is doing appears stupid, and actually is stupid. But his advisors are not stupid. There are smart powers behind the throne. Some stupid actions by Trump and stupid appointments are probably part of the Plan, needed to fool us folks, to keep Trump engaged, and for show and profit when the autocracy blossoms into reality. And it will; that’s the Plan. That’s the goal. That’s America’s big, new, intractable problem.
